Wasini Island

Wasini Island Excursion

Wasini Island is one of Kenya's most beautiful islands, rich in marine life. It has been recognized as the third largest marine protected area in the world.

Our journey starts from your accommodation. Pick-up from the South Coast is around 7:30 AM and from the North Coast around 5:30 AM.

After a 1.5-hour drive, we reach Shimoni, the mainland for Wasini Island. Upon arrival, we board a sailboat and start looking for dolphin spots. Once dolphins are spotted, the boat stops to observe them up close. If lucky, dolphins can also be seen and even swum with in the snorkeling area.

After snorkeling, we head to a sandbank (at low tide) to relax before returning onboard and going for lunch at a restaurant.

Lunch is included: seafood (catch of the day), chicken, crab, seasonal fruits, accompanied by rice, coconut sauce, and sea vegetables. Optional: after lunch, a village walk is offered for those who wish to explore the local community.

Finally, we return onboard for the ride back to the mainland, where our shuttle driver will be waiting.
