🐘 Amboseli National Park

The Amboseli National Park lies in southern Kenya on the border with Tanzania and offers breathtaking views of the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. It is famous for its large herds of elephants moving majestically across the open plains.

🐘 Wildlife & Landscape

Amboseli is renowned for its vast elephant herds, and also home to lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, hyenas, and over 400 bird species. The open savannah is interspersed with swamps, acacia woodlands, and volcanic ash plains.

🗓️ Best Time to Visit

The best time for safaris is the dry season from June to October. During this period, animals are easy to spot and Kilimanjaro is mostly cloud-free.

“Amboseli” means “salty dust” in the Maasai language.

The park is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and one of the world’s most famous elephant research areas.
